If you've made it this far, you probably already know that the digital world is an increasingly absurd lake of content. Amongst a plethora of scrolls on digital platforms, sometimes it's important to slow down, take a break from 280-character opinions, misinformation, dances, trends and viral posts just because someone did or said I don't know what. Sometimes it's hard to find what really matters: logic, strategy, facts and the truth.
That's why Perspectives was born.
A section here on my website where you can read, or listen to if you prefer on Spotify or other platforms, articles that I write on subjects that I want to give my opinion on. Basically, it's a commitment to transforming the experience I've accumulated since 2009 between websites, design, strategies, technology, multimedia... "everything and a pair of boots", as they say. An archive of useful resources and opinions for you, or for anyone who might stop by and look for clarity and honesty in what is chaos and technological show off.
What is "Perspetivas"?
The name was not chosen at random. In my day-to-day work I operate in different areas, but in one way or another they are deeply connected. IT needs design to be functional, just as advertising needs technology to reach its destination; in essence, both need a critical and objective view so that they don't just become expenses on an accounting balance sheet.
Through here, my articles take on a new dimension. As well as discussing them in my head, you can expect topics on:
- Informatics: From technical assistance to web development, we'll look beyond the technical specifications and complicated terms to understand whether an idea or component really solves our problems, or whether it's just marketing with a pretty wrapper.
- Multimedia: Where design, video, photography and content creation intersect with communication strategy. We'll take a look at some campaigns, rebranding decisions and give our opinion on content production with the critical eye of someone who knows what it costs to produce every frame and every pixel.
- Technological Tranquillity: My motto and my ultimate goal. The focus here is to share some of the know-how needed to avoid headaches. As I tell my clients, more than providing services, I solve problems. I want to give you tools and knowledge so that technology, and more recently automation and artificial intelligence, can be an ally of your project or business, and not an obstacle.
Why now?
I believe that today, more than ever, there is a lack of "hands on" (or computer, in my case) analysis of who communicates. I'm not just a bench commentator; I'm someone who sets up the server that hosts a website or a client's backups, who edits the video that you might see on YouTube or on a client's website, and I'm the one who idealises and designs a brand's visual identity, even the one who is aligned with the artists, if we want to go as far as the music.
This multidisciplinarity allows me to look at issues with double standards, but in a good way: using the weight of technique, creativity and knowledge.
What can you expect from now on?
This is my starting point, my manifesto. From now on, whenever I feel the need to express myself on a topic or make an in-depth analysis, I will do so here. In text for those who prefer to read, but also with the possibility of listening for those who prefer to accompany me while driving or working, for example.
Don't expect "on the fence" opinions. You can count on facts, direct links, technical analyses and a good dose of honesty about what works and what's just noise. If you want, you can even recommend or report on a topic that I might find interesting, or just discuss ideas.
Welcome to my Perspectives.
If you want to follow this journey, save my website to your browser bookmarks, follow me on social media (I'll let you know there) or subscribe on Spotify. If you need help with a topic I'm working on, in order to give you that peace of mind, you know where to find me.
Let's do it?
